BMA2026 will bring together a global community to share the latest fundamental and clinical advances in bone marrow adiposity (BMA). Our programme will span diverse clinical and scientific fields related to BMA, including endocrinology, rheumatology, orthopaedics, rehabilitation, radiology, oncology, haematology, molecular and cellular biology, genetics, imaging, physiology and pharmacology. Our participants will include clinicians and scientists from around the world.
Event - Scientific meeting
Dive into lively sessions on nanodomain mechanisms (AKAPs, PDEs, EPAC, POPDC), cutting-edge imaging (FRET, SICM), and AI/ML-driven discovery
Event - Online training

R for Biochemists 101 is the Biochemical Society’s original R course, aimed to equip researchers with the information, tools and techniques to use R. It is suited to beginners who want to use this programming software but have little or no experience. The course will focus on getting data into R, and manipulating and visualising this using various methods. Each module will use a biochemical experiment and data as a starting point.
Research in the DNA replication field is progressing at a remarkable rate. Technological innovations in biochemical reconstitution, structural biology, proteomics and DNA sequencing are helping to rapidly advance our understanding of both fundamental mechanisms of DNA replication, and how this process intersects with other critical genome maintenance pathways.
Event - Harden Conference
This meeting aims to generate new insight into the latest advances in the endosomal-lysosomal system to enhance the rate of discovery in neurodegenerative research.
Event - Webinar
Part of our dedicated Biochemistry Focus Early Career Researcher (ECR) series, this webinar will provide new insights into anti-cancer strategies and the future of oncology research.
We are delighted to announce that the 14th edition of the International Conference on Hydrogenase and Other Redox Metalloenzymes (ICH2026) will take place from 26 to 30 July 2026. We cannot wait to welcome you in Leicester for a week of exciting research on metalloenzymes!
This international meeting will unite academic and industry scientists and clinicians to discuss the latest advances in LRRK2 biology, disease mechanisms, and therapeutic development - from vesicular trafficking and lysosomal function to biomarker discovery and clinical translation. The program will also highlight early-career researchers and foster cross-sector collaboration to accelerate progress for people with Parkinson’s disease.
Over two days, the event will cover a range of topics spanning the fundamental basis and regulation of stress responses and protein folding in the cell, to the relevance of these processes in health, disease, and ageing. Early‑career researchers are strongly encouraged to participate: most talks will be selected from submitted abstracts, and all poster presenters will have the opportunity to give a flash talk.
This webinar will discuss recent research into the identification and characterisation of ‘RNUopathies’ and our current understanding of underlying molecular mechanisms.
Event - In-person training
This training course aims to expose participants to the latest hardware required for protein purification and biophysical measurements.
This upcoming ERK5-focused meeting presents a unique opportunity to unite the international research community around a signalling pathway of growing scientific and therapeutic importance.
