Lipidation is best known to target proteins to specific membrane locations but can also influence protein stability, protein-protein interactions and enzymatic activity. Lipidated proteins play critical roles in biological processes across the tree of life, from plant growth to human brain development. Conversely, dysregulated protein lipidation is implicated in pathological conditions ranging from cancers and inflammation to Huntington’s and Parkinson’s Diseases.

This meeting will unite basic scientists, clinical researchers, leading investigators, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students to exchange ideas and advancements in this rapidly evolving field. Topics will include recent structural insights, optimised methods for identifying and regulating lipidated proteins, and cutting-edge therapeutic strategies. Networking opportunities will support scientific and career development, with early career researchers showcasing their latest findings.
