Dynamic Cell VI

Scientific meeting

01 Apr 2026 - 30 Apr 2026

UK

Location: UK (TBC)
Dates:
April 2026 (exact dates TBC)

The Dynamic Cell series is an inclusive cell biology meeting organised jointly by the Biochemical Society and the British Society for Cell Biology (BSCB). For this
edition of the Dynamic Cell VI conference, we are now partnering with the Royal Microscopy Society (RMS) to increase interactions of biologists with imaging technology experts and application specialists, and with the Chinese Society for Cell Biology (CSCB) to provide a forum to increase interactions with bioscientists from China and the Asia-Pacific region.

The scientific remit of this conference is broad, but with a focus on cell dynamics it is intended to stimulate the development of collaborative approaches, sharing of new conceptual breakthroughs and the application of new technologies to established fields.

This exciting meeting will bring together a group of researchers using dynamic techniques to interrogate cellular behaviour, delivered by broad, fundamental cell biology sessions. The programme is designed to encourage cross-fertilisation between the different fields of cell dynamics and biochemical signalling – from the molecular to organismal scale. The program will also involve networking events for PhD students, Postdocs, technical leads and newly starting research group leaders. The scientific programme will include the following sessions:

  • Cell cycle, cell division, and proliferation
  • Cytoskeletal structure and regulation/Cytoskeletal dynamics/Cell Migration/Mechanobiology
  • Cell biology in development and disease/Host pathogen interaction
  • New computational and imaging technologies for analysing cell function
  • Endocytosis and Intracellular trafficking/Organelle Dynamics and Interactions/membranes and lipids
