Biochemistry Focus Webinar Series
45 minutes
Single cell RNA-sequencing (scRNA-seq) has been gaining popularity and it has been applied to characterising cell types and understanding disease and developmental processes.
In this webinar, the invited speakers, Dr Thomas Otto and Ms Alexandrina Pancheva from the University of Glasgow, introduced the most popular microfluidics approach, 10x, and outlined the main steps of standard scRNA-seq analysis. This webinar discussed the limitations of current methods for detection of cell-cell interaction and presented some recent advances of studying interaction through sequencing physically interacting cells and development of computational approaches.
Invited speakers:
- Dr Thomas Otto (PI), University of Glasgow
- Ms Alexandrina Pancheva (PhD Student), University of Glasgow
This webinar was chaired by Professor Helen Wheadon, Professor of Stem Cell Regulation (Paul O'Gorman Leukaemia Research Centre) at the Institute of Cancer Sciences, University of Glasgow.
