Biochemistry Focus webinar series
60 mins
As part of our Early Career Researcher (ECR) webinar series, our latest webinar provided a closer look into glycolipids and the molecular regulation of secretory granule and exosome formation.
In the first talk, Larissa discussed her work on using photo-Gb3 to remodel protein-enriched membrane domains with light. Reflecting on the work carried out during his PhD, Adam presented his research on developing new techniques to study the events of secretory granule biogenesis in real-time, and investigating the mechanisms controlling the formation of Rab11-exosomes, which are also formed by human cancer cells.
Speakers:
- Dr Larissa Socrier, Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization
- Adam Wells, University of Oxford
This webinar was chaired by Dr Naomi Pollock, University of Birmingham.
