Phil has responsibility, delegated from the Council of Trustees and PPL Board, to lead and implement the long-term strategy for the Group with regular review of appropriate metrics for monitoring targets, including ensuring the governance of the Society is maintaining current good practice, leading and supporting the Society’s staff and their activities, and representing the Society to external stakeholders.

As Associate Director of Content and Engagement, Clare has strategic oversight, along with the relevant Society Trustees, Committees and Panels, of the Society’s content – across the Society’s publishing, education, training and policy remits. Clare oversees the Society’s many communities and engagement with the Society’s membership and Local Ambassadors.

As Associate Director of HR, EDI and Technology, Kofo has strategic oversight, along with the relevant Society Trustees, Committees and Panels, of the Society’s HR operational activities, EDI development and technology support across the Society.

As Associate Director of Events and Marketing, Lorraine has strategic oversight, along with the relevant Society Trustees, Committees and Panels, of the Society’s programme of conferences and events, Awards and grants schemes, and marketing and communications activities, as well as managing specific projects across the Group.
Doug Armin
Doug Armin
Doug works with the Senior Management Team, Trustees, and key stakeholders to ensure that an appropriate policy framework is in place to guide the Group’s financial decision making and to maintain effective internal financial control.
Doug also oversees the provision of effective support services for the Trustees, Directors, and the governing committees to enable them to discharge their duties efficiently and effectively, whilst ensuring there is sound governance in place so that the organization adheres to the highest standards of probity and due process
