ACE2: friend or foe

Professor Rhian Touyz from the University of Glasgow, and Editor-in-Chief of Clinical Science, will chair this hour-long webinar which will explore Angiotensin converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) – the major enzyme responsible for conversion of Ang II into Ang-(1-7), and receptor for severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS)-coronavirus (CoV)-2, which causes Coronavirus Disease (COVID)-19.
The programme will cover the historical background and ACE2 discovery, and explore the enzymatic and non-enzymatic functions of ACE2. Other speakers include Professor Anthony Turner from the University of Leeds and Professor Michael Bader from The Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine.
