The Biochemical Society is saddened to learn of the death of Professor Robert Freedman.
Professor Freedman made a profound and valued contribution to the Society over the course of his career. Having been Chair from 1996-98, his involvement continued as Editor of the Biochemical Journal Classics series, as a valued member of the Society’s Audit Committee, in the scientific meetings programme, and through his research on the role of women in the early history of the Biochemical Society. We would like to express our thanks and appreciation for Robert’s valued contribution to the Biochemical Society.
Our thoughts are with Robert’s family and friends at this difficult time.
